Ray Porter, MBA
Ray Porter is the Founder of BRIS Consulting, an operations consulting firm based in Hong Kong. He draws on over 30 years' experience in business including leadership positions in Europe and Asia.

Ray has worked with start-ups, SMEs and MNCs across the globe in IT, consumer electronics, supply chain, shipping, banking, sports & leisure, lifestyle and pharmaceuticals.
​
Ray is President of the Irish Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong and Treasurer and Board Member of the European Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong.
​
Ray is a graduate of Electronic Engineering at the University of Limerick; post-grad in Information Technology from Maynooth University; and has completed his MBA with a focus on Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
While originally from Ireland, Ray has lived in Asia for the last 15 years and is currently based in Hong Kong.
Ray's early career was predominantly within IT where he held senior leadership positions with Intel and Dell in Europe and Asia. This experience honed in him a culture of results-orientation, discipline and flawless execution. He learnt the importance of structure, process and continuous improvement in building a successful business.

Later in his career, Ray's passion for working with entrepreneurs saw him pivot into consulting for small to medium-sized businesses.
​
In his most recent position as COO for PCH International (a product development and supply chain company), Ray gained insight into being a service provider for fortune 500 companies and some of the world's leading brands. Having worked with entrepreneurs through the in-house incubator he gained first-hand experience of the chaos, pace and energy that start-ups bring. The range and complexity of products provided by PCH gave Ray a deep understanding of the supply chain within China.

Ray has worked directly with entrepreneurs and several family-owned businesses and has a keen understanding of the unique dynamics within such organisations.

Ray’s pragmatic approach stems from his career journey. By starting out as a front-line supervisor and working his way up to COO, Ray has a deep understanding of Operations including the complexities, pitfalls and opportunities.

Leveraging on his in-depth practical experience, Ray set-up BRIS Consulting to provide strategic, operational services to start-ups, SMEs and MNCs across industries.
